Over the span of 23 years, my career has been shaped by working in state and private education institutions, as well as education consultancies and tuition centres. Some of my previous roles were at Cardiff University, University of South Wales and Cardiff Sixth Form College, as well as schools overseas in Hong Kong and Thailand.
Through roles in Admissions, I have developed a sound understanding of the education system, qualifications and admissions - assessing and making decisions on thousands of applications for a range of degree programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level - from engineering, IT and the built environment to languages and business studies.
After spending 13-years in higher education, I moved into the private sector, working closely with overseas education agencies, schools, colleges and universities across the UK, and, of course, talented students on their journey to post-16 and post-18 education. It was in such roles that I began to utilise my higher education admissions experience and knowledge to support students to reach their aspirations.
In recent years, I have worked closely with parents, families, tuition centres, education consultancies - and schools, providing career coaching and admissions preparation through teaching and consultancy.
